Welcome to Texas Center for the Missing

Texas Center for the Missing (formerly known as Gabriel’s Gifts Missing Children’s Organization) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to offering help, and hope, to the missing and their families. Founded in 2000 by Doreen Wise after the four-month disappearance and tragic loss of her son, Gabriel, the organization is dedicated to finding the missing quickly and providing support to their families. Building upon our founder’s desire to offer help to missing children and their parents, we have recently expanded into the rapidly growing field of Alzheimer’s patients who wander from their caregivers.

Run for a Reason!
The 2011 Chevron Houston Marathon and Aramco Houston Half Marathon are using a lottery registration this year. You can guarantee your spot in either race through the Heroes Charity Registration.
A $350 tax deductible donation to Texas Center for the Missing (or other participating charity of your choice) plus registration fee ensures your entry! Contact us at support@tcftm.org to learn more. Or, beginning July 27th, register as a Hero (http://www.chevronhoustonmarathon.com/Registration/HeroesRegistration.cfm). Beginning August 10th you can also choose Fundraising for Registration. The Fundraising for Registration program gives runners an opportunity to fundraise for Texas Center for the Missing and receive an entry into the marathon or half marathon. Participants are required to raise $1,000 for Texas Center for the Missing to guarantee your entry. For this option, you will need to register through the Center (support@tcftm.org).
