In addition to written material for parents, Texas Center for the
Missing staff and
volunteers are available for speaking engagements and seminars
on missing children.
Special emphasis is placed on preventing this all too common tragedy.

S.A.F.E. Child Puppet Show
designed for children under 10 years old.
The puppet show features Detective Buddy
who teaches Billy and his friend, Barb, how
to stay safe with real-life examples.+

Missing Child Awareness Education and Prevention
Presentation is specifically designed to
teach parents, childcare providers, concerned
community leaders, and educators how to keep
children safe from abduction and internet
lures.

Interactive Online Safety Training via
multi-media presentations developed in three
formats geared toward: (1) parents/adult
caregivers, (2) 6th- 12th Graders, and (3)
elementary-aged children.

Alzheimer’s Wandering Prevention
Training for caregivers whose loved ones
suffer from any form of dementia to deter
the highly dangerous pattern of wandering.

Information and Referral:
I&R services include: general safety information, child
identification kits, missing persons case management, Crime
Victims’ Compensation Advocacy, missing persons search
and rescue resources, law enforcement liaison services, and
victim advocacy.

Amber Alert: As the administrator of the
Houston Regional Amber Plan, we train law
enforcement on the local Amber system, provide
24-hour support for alert issuance, and deploy
trained search-and-rescue experts upon request.
