Houston, Texas: 7th Annual Champagne Brunch and Silent Auction raises $25,000 to Benefit Missing Children
Each year in the Greater Houston Area, more than 11,000 children are reported missing. On Saturday, April 27th, from noon to 3 p.m., 90 supporters of Texas Center for the Missing and the Houston Regional Amber Alert gathered to raise funds for, and recognize outstanding efforts on behalf of, missing children.
The Champagne Brunch and Silent Auction, held each year at Crapitto’s Cucina Italiana at 2400 Mid Lane, raises much-needed funds for child safety programs, search-and-rescue volunteers and law enforcement training, as well as the critical, emergency notification system, Amber Alert. CEO, Beth Alberts, says, “The Amber Alert does not receive any local, State or Federal funds to support its ongoing operations so efforts like this are crucial to the program’s survival.”
